
The Business Travel Association (BTA), Advantage Travel Partnership (ATP), World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and Board of Airlines Representatives in the UK (BAR UK) have joined the Heathrow Imagined campaign, which calls for an urgent and fundamental review in how the UK’s only hub airport is regulated.
The campaign’s objective is to introduce changes benefitting passengers, businesses and the UK economy.
Heathrow Reimagined argues that Heathrow Airport Limited operates some of the world’s oldest terminals and has ageing infrastructure, despite spending £15 billion over the past 20 years. It pinpoints a regulatory system which encourages inefficient spending.
